Oatmeal Mini Reese's Pieces Cookies - Kristi D.


  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1-1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1-1/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) REESE'S MINI PIECES Candy
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheet. 2. Beat shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl until fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with milk to sugar mixture. Stir in oats and candy pieces. Drop by scant 1/4 cupfuls or #16 scoop onto prepared cookie sheets. 3. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 10 minutes on cookie sheet. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. About 1 dozen cookies.

Peanut Butter Bars - Ginger G.

Orange Carrot cookies - Heather G.


Orange – Carrot Cookies

¾ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cooked mashed carrots
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and carrots and mix
well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on
greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 – 10 minutes. Ice
while warm with orange icing.

Icing for Orange – Carrot Cookies

Grated peel of one orange (just orange zest – not the white part)
Grate with fine grater or use zester
2 Tbsp orange juice
1 cup powdered sugar
Pinch of salt

Beat all ingredients together and spread on warm cookies.
(Might need to double icing recipe depending on how big you make the
cookies, how much frosting you use and how warm they are when you ice
them. Icing is thin, it drips off some.)

Fiber One Crunchy Fudge Cookies - Mindy S.


1box Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix
2cups Fiber One® original bran cereal
2tablespoons miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/8teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3cup water
1tablespoon vegetable oil
2teaspoons vanilla
1egg

1.Heat oven to 350°F. Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix ingredients with spoon. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
2.Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container. Freeze up to 2 months if desired.

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar & (a little extra to roll in)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 & 1/4 c. flour
3/4 t. soda
1/2 t. baking powder
48+ chocolate kisses

Cream shortening and sugars.  Add remaining ingredients except kisses.  Roll into balls, roll in sugar and place on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake @ 375 for 11-12 minutes.  Remove from oven and place a kiss in the middle and press sightly.

Gingerbread Cookies from the Nauvoo Scovil Bakery

 

1 cup sugar                               1 cup molasses

¾ cup oil                                   ½ cup hot water

Combine.  Rinse molasses out of cup with the hot water.

Add:

2 eggs

Mix together the following:

½ tsp salt                                  1 tsp soda

6 or 7 cups flour                         1 tsp cinnamon

1 heaping tsp ginger

Refrigerate dough overnight.  Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter.  

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla.  Add rest and drop on greased cookie sheets.  Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.  Makes 3 dozen.

Super Saturday Cookie Exchange - Melt-a-ways - Anne S.


1 c. butter

 

  ¾ c. sifted cornstarch

 

  1/3 c. powdered sugar

 

  1 c. flour

 

 Beat butter until very soft.  Add cornstarch, sugar and flour.  Mix very well.   Drop ½ to 1 inch balls on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 for 10-12  minutes or until set and very lightly browned.  Cool.

 

 Frosting: 3 oz cream cheese, 1 t. vanilla, 1 c. powdered sugar, couple drop    milk, couple drops of food coloring

 Combine all ingredients for frosting and beat until smooth.  Drop a dab on   top of each cookie. Makes 5 dozen.

1 egg

1 t. vanilla

1 c. sugar

½ t. salt

1 c. shortening

2 t. baking powder

½ c. milk (canned)

4 c. flour

2 T. vinegar

1 t. baking soda

Heat oven to 400 degrees.  Cream together sugar and shortening; add egg and mix well.  Sour milk with vinegar, then add to mixture.  Add vanilla and beat until well mixed.  Sift all dry ingredients together; beat in half of flour mixture, then stir in the rest.  Roll dough on floured surface and cut cookies.  Bake on greased cookie sheets for 7-10 minutes.  Makes about 40 3 inch cookies.

1 c. sugar

½ t. salt

1 c. real butter

1 t. vanilla

1 egg yolk (save egg white)

Sliced almonds

2 c. flour

 

Cream together sugar, butter, and egg yolk.  Add in flour, salt, vanilla (should be crumbly). Pat down into greased 9x13 pan.  Brush egg white on top and sprinkle almonds evenly.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Cut into squares.

1 c. margarine

1-1/2 t. baking soda

1-1/2 c. brown sugar, packed

5 c. all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

2 t. baking powder

1 T. ground ginger

1-1/2 t. salt

½ c. molasses

1 T. cinnamon

1-1/2 c. boiling water

1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream margarine and sugar in a large mixing bowl; blend in eggs.  Mix in ginger and molasses; stir in boiling water.  Set aside.  Combine remaining ingredients except for the nuts; add to sugar mixture.  Gold in walnuts; cover and refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets; bake at 45 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  Makes about 6 dozen.

Super Saturday Cookie Exchange - Peanut Butter Cup Cookies - Denise H.

1 ¾ c. all-purpose flour

½ c. packed brown sugar

½ t. salt

1 egg, beaten

1t. baking soda

1 t. vanilla extract

½ c. butter, softened

2 T. milk

½ c. white sugar

40 miniature chocolate peanut butter

½ c. peanut butter

cups, unwrapped

1.     Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2.     Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.

3.     Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter  and brown sugar until fluffy.  Beat in the egg, vanilla and milk.  Add the flour mixture; mix well.

4.     Shape into 40 balls and place each onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes.  Remove from oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball.  Cool and carefully remove from pan.

 Spice Cake Mix

 

 Small can pumpkin

 

 ½ bag Chocolate Chips

 

 

 

Mix all together.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Need to let it set up as it is a cake.

boil ½ c brown sugar

¼ c butter

¼ c evaporated milk

for 3 minutes stirring entire time then add

2 c powdered sugar

2/3 c brown sugar

4 T. milk

2 t. vanilla

3 cup flour

2 t. baking soda

 1 t. salt

bag of Hershey kisses

 

cream shortening peanut butter, sugars., eggs, milk vanilla.  Combine flour soda salt and add to creamed mixture.  Shape into 1 inch balls and roll into sugar.  Bake 375 degree for 8-10 minutes.  Remove from oven immediately and place unwrapped kiss in each cookie.
