Slush - Melissa C.
Slush
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
Put in a saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl mix:
1 large can white grapefruit juice
1 large can orange juice
Pour in sugar mixture. Stir and then pour into 2 9 x 13 pyrex pans.
Put in the freezer. Freeze at least 24 hours.
When ready to eat, cut slush out and put in a cup. Pour sprite over it and mix.

Hamburger Corn Casserole - Melissa C.
Hamburger Corn Casserole
Brown 1 lb hamburger with one onion. Add 12oz can corn, well drained; 1 can cream of mushroom soup; 1 can cream of chicken soup; 1 cup sour cream; ¾ tsp salt; ¼ tsp pepper. Mix well. Stir in 3 cups medium egg noodles, cooked and drained. Pour into a 2-quart casserole bowl or a 9 x 13 pan. Mix 1 cup soft bread crumbs and 3 tbsp melted butter. Sprinkle over top. Bake for 30 -35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Roasted Potatoes
6 medium potatoes, peeled
¼ cup margarine, melted
1 tsp sweet basil
1 tsp salt
2 T bread crumbs
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Slice potatoes (accordion effect). Place in greased baking dish. Combine margarine, basil, and salt. Brush on top of potatoes. Bake 425 degrees for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese. Bake 10 minutes longer or until done.

Saltine Toffee Bars
About 25-30 Saltine Crackers
3/4 cup brown Sugar
1 cup real butter
chocolate chips (1/2 - 1 bag)
Handful of almonds (crushed)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place foil over 10 x 12 cookie sheet. (You could use normal cookie sheet and just do a little more of each item.)
Place saltines on top of foil. Melt butter and brown sugar in pan. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over saltine crackers. Place in oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand for a few minutes and then spread with spatula. Sprinkle nuts on top. Put in freezer and then break into pieces or you can cut it while still in pan and then put in fridge or freezer to harden a little. Once hardened then you can take pieces off of the foil.

Cinnamon Rolls - Melissa C.
4 cups warm water
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 T dry yeast
1 1/2 cups oil
11 cups flour
1 cup evaporated milk
1 T. salt
1 1/2 cups raisins (optional)
1 1/2 squares butter, room temperature
cinnamon to taste
brown sugar to taste
Take warm water, sugar and yeast. Don't stir. Let stand 5 minutes.
Add oil, milk and 5 cups flour. Stir. Let stand 25 minutes.
Add salt and 6 cups flour. Let raise twice.
Put raisins in dough.
Flour the counter you will put the cinnamon rolls on. Spread with fingers or with roller.
Spread on butter, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Roll up and slice with a string.
Bake on greased pan or cookie sheet 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Cool and then frost.
Vanilla Frosting
1 lb. package powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/2 cup margarine
3 T. milk
Beat sugar, margarine and milk. If still dry, add more milk, then add your vanilla.

Pasta Salad - Melissa C.
10 oz. Rainbow Rotini (cooked)
1 green pepper
1 tomato
1 can olives
Italian Dressing
Pepperoni halves (if desired)
Cook pasta, drain, and mix with diced vegetables. Pour your desired amount of Italian dressing on top. Stir in pepperoni halves, if desired. Can also top with Parmesan cheese. Chill for a few hours.
