½ c shortening

1 cu brown sugar

½ c white sugar

2 eggs beaten

1 c canned evaporated milk

1 t. vanilla

2 ¾ cup flour

½ t. soda

½ t salt

½ c chopped walnuts

 

cream then add flour, soda, salt,

add nuts

 

375 degrees 10 minutes

 

frosting

boil ½ c brown sugar

¼ c butter

¼ c evaporated milk

for 3 minutes stirring entire time then add

2 c powdered sugar

frost fast
