Super Saturday Cookie Exchange - Jan Hagel - Kristi D.

1 c. sugar	½ t. salt
1 c. real butter	1 t. vanilla
1 egg yolk (save egg white)	Sliced almonds
2 c. flour

Cream together sugar, butter, and egg yolk.  Add in flour, salt, vanilla (should be crumbly). Pat down into greased 9x13 pan.  Brush egg white on top and sprinkle almonds evenly.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Cut into squares.
