Super Saturday Cookie Exchange - Sugar Cookies - Ginger G.

1 egg	1 t. vanilla
1 c. sugar	½ t. salt
1 c. shortening	2 t. baking powder
½ c. milk (canned)	4 c. flour
2 T. vinegar	1 t. baking soda

Heat oven to 400 degrees.  Cream together sugar and shortening; add egg and mix well.  Sour milk with vinegar, then add to mixture.  Add vanilla and beat until well mixed.  Sift all dry ingredients together; beat in half of flour mixture, then stir in the rest.  Roll dough on floured surface and cut cookies.  Bake on greased cookie sheets for 7-10 minutes.  Makes about 40 3 inch cookies.
