Italian/French Bread - Tiffany C.


1/2 c. warm water
2 T. yeast
3 T. sugar
1 T. salt
1/3 c. oil
2 cups very hot tap water
6 cups flour

Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/2 c. warm water in large bowl.
Combine salt, oil, 2 c. hot water. Mix in 3 c. flour. Add yeast mixture. Mix in remaining flour. Stir down every 10 minutes for 5 times. Shape dough. Raise double. Bake 400 degrees 20 minutes.
